The LattePanda UPS Hat ensures that power outages no longer interrupt your workflow, offering a reliable solution.

The UPS Hat for LattePanda 3 Delta 2 Alpha 2 Delta Single Board Computer is easy to install and fits securely onto the pins. Compatible with three 18650 lithium-ion batteries, it provides essential power and battery storage. Additionally, dual TypeC PD and 5.5mm DC interfaces offer further power supply. This UPS Hat guarantees a secure switch to battery power in case of any external power supply disruption, ensuring your LattePanda's safety.

The UPS Hat features HID-UPS protocol compatibility, which is recognized by the operating system as a battery device. System power management is available to enable power-saving modes and auto shutoff, just like a laptop battery. Plus, Arduino's HID-UPS protocol is open source, allowing users to tailor the battery power algorithm with more precision and set a charging voltage limit for prolonged battery life.

The UPS Hat utilizes a direct power supply to the LattePanda 3 Delta, eliminating the need for a power boost or buck circuit, to extend the battery life for up to 8 hours. This has been verified with three 3.7V 3400mA·h 18650 lithium-ion batteries.

Note:

Due to transportation safety restrictions, the UPS Hat does not include 18650 lithium batteries, and you need to purchase 3.7V 18650 lithium batteries separately.

Installation Steps

Note: Do not install the lithium battery before the UPS Hat is in place

Step 1. Align the UPS power interface side with the LattePanda TypeC/RJ45/HDMI interface side

Step 2. Insert the UPS Hat into the LattePanda

Step 3. Check that the pins are fully inserted in order, without any floating or bent pins.

To reserve space for heat dissipation and ventilation, the UPS Hat pins are longer. The figure shows the appearance after the installation is in place.

Step 4. After checking the installation, install the 18650 lithium battery, paying attention to the positive and negative directions.
